MFR

Goal:

  • Replace old "1990's-style" website with a more modern look

  • Migrate the domain (web address) to a different platform, controlled by the company

  • Make the website editable by business owners, rather than having to rely on software engineers to make basic updates

  • Plug in all purchases and payments to the company's existing quickbooks

Materials provided to Simple Site Now: "About us," product pricing, and some product photos.

Notable Site features:

  • Home page with a "Pacific Northwest" feel

  • Separate page for ordering coffee, with simple but consistent product listings

  • Bulk ordering for wholesale customers

  • Purchasing with all major credit cards, paypal, etc.

  • Contact Form

MFR is owned by two dudes obsessed with coffee, who are less obsessed with managing a website. As their coffee flew off the shelves, they decided it was time to refresh and update their online appearance. Their website had been made by a friend, and did the job. However, the company had to rely on a software engineer to make any kind of update (including to basic text on the website, or product listings). They badly wanted to accept more forms of secure payment rather than only certain credit cards, to eliminate manual processes by plugging in sales to their quickbooks account, and to offer a separate login for their wholesale customers.  Additionally, the company wanted to move to a new domain name provider with better customer service. Simple Site Now created a site, took product photos and made product listings,  migrated their domain, helped them set up secure payments and integrated it with quickbooks, and implemented a 'bulk ordering' option for wholesale customers.
